CINCINNATI FLOODING 2016

Matthew 25: Ministries distributed supplies in the Norwood and St. Bernard areas on Monday, August 29, 2016, in response to localized flooding that left many in the Tri-State fleeing from their homes and stranded on highways Sunday night. Supplies included personal care and cleaning kits, safety supplies and paper products.

Matthew 25: Ministries’ Disaster Response Team set up distribution locations and handed out supplies such as personal care kits, cleaning supplies, bottled water and paper products to those in the Norwood and St. Bernard areas who were displaced or recovering from flooding.

Helping the Cincinnati community is a big part of our work,” says Matthew 25 CEO Tim Mettey. “Cincinnati is our home and we work with partners all year long to assist those in need in our community.  Our hearts go out to those affected by this flooding and we are committed to helping those affected by this and similar disasters in our community.


UPDATES

UPDATE 8/31: Today, we implemented two stationary teams and one mobile team to distribute supplies to flooding victims in Norwood and St. Bernard. In total, our teams distributed approximately 542 personal care kits; 570 rolls of toilet paper; 570 rolls of paper towels; 550 pairs of rubber/work gloves; 550 containers of clorox disinfectant wipes; 1 1/2 pallets of clean up supplies including 50 buckets, 13 mops and 15 brooms; 1 1/2 pallets of bleach.

Our Disaster Response Teams will be stationed at the same locations tomorrow and Friday from 12 PM (noon) – 6 PM. Addresses are: Kroger, 4500 Montgomery Rd Cincinnati, OH 45212 in Norwoodand; Greater New Light Baptist Church, 710 Fred Shuttlesworth Cir N Cincinnati, OH 45229 in North Avondale

A photo ID with address must be presented in order to receive supplies. Only residents of the affected areas are eligible to receive supplies. One person per household, please.
