Matthew 25: Ministries continues to ship desperately needed disaster relief items in response to Typhoon Haiyan, a category-5 storm that reached the central islands of the Philippines on Friday, November 8, 2013. More than 6,000 lives were lost, and hundreds of thousands of survivors were left without access to food, water, shelter and medicine. In 2013, Matthew 25 shipped 5 forty-foot containers carrying over 130,000 pounds of supplies have been shipped, with more containers anticipated to be scheduled throughout 2014 as part of our continuing relief effort.
Matthew 25's medical mission team of two doctors, two nurses and two disaster support personnel arrived in the Philippines in November 2013 to provide medical care and disaster relief products to approximately 350 people affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The group also met with partners in the Philippines to solidify distribution channels for long-term relief efforts.

Matthew 25: Ministries is partnering with PGA Tour golfer Jason Day, his wife Ellie and their foundation, Brighter Days Foundation to provide 1,000 dome tents to victims of the typhoon to help alleviate the urgent need for temporary housing. The spacious tents will each be able to house a family of at least 4 – 6 people. Brighter Days Foundation is also funding the shipment of two additional containers of aid.
