100,000 Tons of Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Delivered to Those in Need

MARCH 8, 2018  Cincinnati, OH – Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization located at 11060 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash shipped their 200,000,000th pound of aid on Thursday, March 8.  Matthew 25 is experiencing a period of exceptional growth and is excited to announce this first of several expected landmark achievements for 2018.

Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a trip Founder and President Reverend Wendell Mettey made with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua.  Since 1991, Matthew 25’s distribution activities have expanded to include partners in Greater Cincinnati, as well as partners throughout the United States and around the world.  These 200,000,000 pounds of clothing, medical supplies, personal care items, school supplies, food and beverages, household supplies, cleaning products, reblended paint and micro-enterprise supplies have traveled to more than 60 countries worldwide and helped over 100,000,000 people.

“This is such an exciting milestone,” said Matthew 25’s CEO Tim Mettey. “When my father started Matthew 25: Ministries 27 years ago, he knew he wanted to help people in need.  While it is thrilling to surpass 200,000,000 pounds of aid shipped, the most important result of that achievement is the number of people who have been helped – and are continuing to be helped every day – by Matthew 25: Ministries.  We look forward to continuing our work and continuing to grow to meet the needs of our country and our world.”

Matthew 25: Ministries accepts cash, credit card and internet donations for ongoing disaster aid and humanitarian relief programs.  More than 99% of Matthew 25: Ministries’ cash and in-kind donations go toward programs. All designated funds are used for the purpose intended. Matthew 25 also welcomes volunteers six days a week at their Blue Ash facility.  For the most up-to-date information about Matthew 25: Ministries’ humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts please contact Joodi Archer at (513) 793-6256 or visit their website at www.m25m.org.
