Appalachia Mission Trip

Each year, Matthew 25: Ministries leads a mission trip to a rural and impoverished county in Appalachia.  This year, our team of 68 volunteers and staff members worked in three area elementary schools.  The team completed basic maintenance projects on the facilities, including deep cleaning and organizing classrooms, as well as painting, installing new flooring and even creating an outdoor classroom at one of the schools. We also lead an educational day camp for students, ranging from 3-12 years old.  This year’s theme was Hero Camp—each day the campers learned about how to become a true superhero in their everyday lives. The yearly trip is an extension of Matthew 25’s ongoing work in this region throughout the year.

The trip costs $350 per person, plus the cost of transportation (volunteers must arrange their own transportation).
