Cintas has been a valued partner of Matthew 25: Ministries since 1998. Over the past 25 years, Cintas has donated more than 20 million pounds of top-quality clothing, fabric, linens, soap, medicine, first aid supplies, household items, personal care items, food, school and medical supplies and building materials products for humanitarian aid distributions to people in need here in the U.S. and around the world.
Cintas has also been a key disaster response partner since 2013, sponsoring a disaster response vehicle that distributes Cintas first aid and safety kits that include essential supplies such as safety glasses, dust masks, latex gloves, wipes, and more, as well as other basic necessities to people whose lives have been impacted by disasters. These specific supplies help provide protection and safety for those working to clean up their homes or properties.
Cintas also assists our disaster response efforts by providing training opportunities for our response team. Throughout the year, they train and certify our team in emergency first aid, AED use, and additional classes to ensure our team stays safe and has the proper knowledge to help themselves and others in the challenging conditions they face working in areas impacted by natural disasters.
Cintas has also developed the unique, corporate-wide Clothe the Kids donation program, which engages Cintas employee-partners across the United States to collect new and gently used clothing for children in need. The gift of new or nearly new, comfortable, properly fitting clothing has a huge impact on a child’s physical and emotional well-being, improving health and hygiene and enhancing self-esteem. As much as 25% of the children’s clothing distributed by Matthew 25 each year comes from the Clothe the Kids program.
