Volunteering

Every Hour Makes a Difference

Volunteers play an essential role in the work of Matthew 25: Ministries. The donated goods we receive must be sorted, counted, packaged, and put on pallets ready for shipment to various parts of the world. There is a job for everyone!

Please visit the How To Volunteer section below for more information. In order to make check-in as smooth as possible, we request that all volunteers pre-register prior to their first visit.

To schedule a volunteer shift, please contact Shelly Clos by email at shelly@m25m.org.

SENSORY-FRIENDLY ROOM
We offer a sensory-friendly room where volunteers of all abilities can be together in a space that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. This room contains soft lighting, a quieter environment, and sensory-friendly features, such as bubble tubes, fiber optics, cozy sitting areas, and more.

For more information and to reserve a volunteer shift in the sensory-friendly room, please visit our Sensory-Friendly Room page.

How To Volunteer

Groups

We ask that groups of 4 or more people schedule ahead of time. Fill out the Contact Form below to request a time to serve.

Please do not consider your group officially scheduled until you receive confirmation from one of our volunteer coordinators. As of now, we are scheduling 10 weeks out for Saturday groups.

Individuals & Families

Individuals, families, and small groups of up to 4 people are encouraged to pre-schedule, or may walk-in to volunteer any time on Monday – Friday between 9 AM – 4 PM, or Saturday between 1 PM – 3 PM. We are closed some holidays, so please reference our holiday hours or call ahead to check on holiday closures.

Children under 16 are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult at all times under the following guidelines:

Children Under 8

1 adult for every child

Children 9-11

1 adult for every 2 children

Children 12-15

1 adult for every 3 children

What To Expect

Registration

In order to make the check-in process as smooth as possible, we request that all new volunteers pre-register prior to arrival. Otherwise, you will be registered by a staff member upon arrival. Please note, no large bags or backpacks are permitted inside Matthew 25: Ministries. Purses and bags necessary for medical supply needs are allowed, but are subject to search.

Service Hour Verification

Individuals needing service hour verification must track their own hours and have a Matthew 25 representative verify hours at the end of each session. Matthew 25: Ministries is not responsible for tracking individuals’ service hours and cannot verify hours after the date served. Plus, learn how you can earn off-site service hours through organizing a collection for Matthew 25: Ministries.

Global Village Tour

Part of the volunteer experience includes a tour of our Global Village—a life-size recreation of disaster scenes and poverty in the U.S. and developing countries. This educational component gives our guests a better understanding of the places we help and how their work is making a difference.

Dress Code

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. The temperature in our Processing Center fluctuates with each season, so please dress accordingly.

Parking

Matthew 25 has a spacious parking lot, but also welcomes hundreds of volunteers each day. Please consider carpooling to save on gas and to help ensure that there is enough parking for all our volunteers.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, please check Local12 for any changes in Matthew 25: Ministries' hours of operation. If your group is unable to make it in, please call us to reschedule your visit.
