M25M SHIPS 10,000th CONTAINER OF AID
10,000th Container of Humanitarian Aid Departs Blue Ash Facility on Monday
JULY 8, 2018 Cincinnati, OH – Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization located at 11060 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash, will ship their 10,000th container of aid on Monday, July 9. This year Matthew 25 is celebrating several significant milestones during an exceptional time of growth. In addition to this milestone of 10,000 containers, in 2018 Matthew 25 shipped their 200,000,000th pound of aid since the founding of the organization in 1991.
Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a trip Founder and President Reverend Wendell Mettey made with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua. Since 1991, Matthew 25’s distribution activities have expanded to include partners in Greater Cincinnati, as well as partners throughout the United States and around the world. These more than 200,000,000 pounds of clothing, medical supplies, personal care items, school supplies, food and beverages, household supplies, cleaning products, reblended paint and micro-enterprise supplies have traveled to more than 60 countries worldwide and helped over 100,000,000 people.
“This has been a year of incredible growth for Matthew 25: Ministries,” said Matthew 25’s CEO Tim Mettey. “When my father started Matthew 25: Ministries 27 years ago, he never imagined that Matthew 25 would become the large organization it is today. Already in 2018, we’ve broken ground on a 30,000 square foot expansion, surpassed 200,000,000 pounds of aid shipped and now, our 10,000th container of aid. As incredible as those achievements are, the most important outcome is the number of people who have been helped – and are continuing to be helped every day – by Matthew 25: Ministries. In 2017, we distributed over 500,000 pounds of aid in Greater Cincinnati and worked with more than 60 local partners. In total, we distributed 16,000,000 pounds of aid and helped more than 22,000,000 people across the United States and around the world. Thank you to our generous donors and to the tens of thousands of volunteers who helped to make this happen.”
In order to continue reaching more people, Matthew 25: Ministries is currently expanding their facilities so that they can accept more donations, welcome more volunteers, manufacture more products, and ship more truckloads of aid.
The 10,000th container of aid is expected to leave Matthew 25’s facility Monday morning, July 9th. Members of the media are invited to take photographs and video of the container being loaded with aid for those in need at its scheduled departure time of 9 AM.

More than 99% of Matthew 25: Ministries’ cash and in-kind donations go toward programs. All designated funds are used for the purpose intended.
