Matthew 25 Recognized for Significant Local and Global Impact in Disaster Relief, in Partnership with Procter & Gamble

May 5, 2025, Blue Ash, OH – Every year, TIME releases the TIME100 list of the world’s most influential people, from artists to innovators, titans, leaders, icons, and pioneers. Matthew 25: Ministries is proud to be named this year’s TIME101, in partnership with P&G and TIME’s award-winning branded content division Red Border by TIME, which honors an individual or group that is making an impact in the community. The annual TIME100 Gala aired last night as a primetime special on ABC. To learn more about TIME101, please visit time.com/P&G/TIME101.

“We are deeply honored and grateful for this recognition, and we extend our most sincere thanks to TIME, and to Procter & Gamble for their nomination and steadfast partnership,” says Tim Mettey, CEO of Matthew 25: Ministries. “P&G has been a valued corporate supporter of Matthew 25: Ministries since 2005. Since then, our collaboration has continued to grow, now making P&G one of our largest corporate partners. The TIME101 recognition is not just a reflection of our mission, it’s a powerful tribute to the unwavering compassion, tireless dedication, and extraordinary efforts of our staff, volunteers and donors, and to our nonprofit and corporate partners. Their commitment and support are the driving force behind everything we do. This honor celebrates more than 30 years of shared purpose in delivering humanitarian aid and disaster relief to those in need, here in our community, across the country, and around world.”

Established in 1991, Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a trip Founder Rev. Wendell Mettey made with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua and has since grown into a four-star, top ranked international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization on Charity Navigator, as well as being ranked among Forbes.com‘s list of America’s Top 100 Charities. Matthew 25 provides humanitarian aid and responds to disasters, both domestically and internationally, delivering rapid response and sustained, long-term support. Matthew 25: Ministries ships over 25 million pounds of supplies each year, helping more than 30 million people worldwide.

In 2012, P&G began collaborating with Matthew 25: Ministries on a mobile disaster relief program, building on the commitment and contributions of P&G employees and their families, who have packed thousands of disaster response kits loaded with P&G products, traveled with disaster response teams or provided support at disaster locations. Since then, P&G and Matthew 25 have partnered on more than 80 deployments, helping millions of people coping with the aftermath of a catastrophic disaster. In 2015, the first Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Unit was added to Matthew 25: Ministries’ fleet of disaster vehicles, providing free laundry services to thousands of households across the U.S. whose lives had been impacted by major disasters. Like Matthew 25: Ministries, Procter and Gamble’s dedication to improving lives in small but meaningful ways extends to every aspect of their support for communities recovering from disasters, providing everyday cleaning, health and hygiene essentials that offer comfort and a sense of normalcy across the U.S., and worldwide.

“We are thrilled to honor Matthew 25: Ministries as the TIME101 recipient this year,” said Claude Zukowski, Community Impact Global Program Leader at Procter & Gamble. “Their commitment to delivering relief to those affected by disasters is a testament to the power of community and collaboration. At P&G, we believe in supporting organizations that drive positive change, and Matthew 25: Ministries exemplifies this mission through their extraordinary work.”
