What to Expect When Volunteering
All volunteers must pre-schedule in order to reserve a spot. At this time, volunteers may only schedule as individuals, with members of their immediate household, or in small groups of no more than 6 people in order to maintain social distancing. We are open to volunteers from 9 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday, and 9 AM – 3 PM on Saturday, under the following guidelines:
- Volunteers must pre-schedule.
- Volunteers may only schedule as individuals, with members of their immediate household, or in small groups of no more than 6 people in order to maintain social distancing.
- Volunteers are required to wear a mask or face covering and maintain all COVID-19 safety protocols.

WHAT TO EXPECT UPON ARRIVAL
Please enter through the Servant’s Entrance door once you arrive in the Matthew 25: Ministries parking lot.
COVID-19 Safety Protocol:
a. Put on PPE, including mask which must be worn properly (covering the mouth and nose) at all times
b. Use hand sanitizer.
c. Have temperature taken.
Wait at the next available floor marker to be directed to a check-in kiosk by a staff member. Please remember to practice proper social distancing at all times.
Both current and new volunteers will be directed to a kiosk to complete the check-in process. If you need us to sign off on your volunteer hours, please let us know both during check-in and before you leave.
If you are a current volunteer, you will swipe your existing volunteer card at the kiosk to check-in.
If you are a new volunteer, you will complete your registration at the kiosk. Upon completion, a volunteer card will be printed and brought to you. Once you have your card, swipe it at your kiosk to check-in.
After swiping your card, you will be asked several COVID-19 related questions.
Please note, based on the answers provided, volunteers may be asked to reschedule their volunteer shift to a future date. Please review the entire policy online Volunteer Safety Policy, and contact us ahead of your visit to reschedule if any of the circumstances outlined in the policy apply to you or anyone in your household.
After check-in, a staff member will direct you to the door marked for volunteer exit, leading you towards the Processing Center where you can begin volunteering! To exit the lobby, please wait for the light to turn green, then pull the door towards you.
On your way to the Processing Center, or at any time during your shift, please stop by the Global Village Market to enjoy our selection of gift items and refreshments.
Please stand at the next available floor marker near the sliding door and wait for a staff member.
The station leader, who is your main guide for the day, will meet you at the sliding door to lead you to your volunteer station.
The station leader will explain your role for the day, facility policies and procedures, and provide general information on the Processing Center. Please also let the station leader know if you need us to sign off on your volunteer hours.
When you have completed your volunteer shift, follow the arrows and signage to the volunteer exit. Please note, you will exit from a different path and door than where you entered.
Prior to exiting, please remove and discard your used PPE items into the barrel marked ‘SAFE PPE DISPOSAL‘. Hand sanitizer is also provided near the exit door.
Exit through the door marked ‘VOLUNTEER EXIT‘. This will lead you back through the main lobby to the parking lot. Thank you for volunteering and we hope to see you again soon!
