Knowing the Sender

The other day I accidentally threw away a letter before I read it, but I fortunately had saved the envelope. On the envelope was the sender’s return address, so I knew who sent the letter, but I did not know the message it contained.

CONSIDER how we sometimes find ourselves struggling to find God’s message for our lives. At times it seems unclear; other times we may hear it and then forget it.

Thankfully when this happens, we can get back in touch with the sender. If we ask, God will remind us of the message, He has for each of us.

What is God’s message for you?

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:1 & 5)
