INTRODUCING THE SUMMER KICKOFF ON
INSTAGRAM LIVE WITH MICHAEL WILLIAMS OF THE VOICE

Benefiting Matthew 25: Ministries and Their COVID-19 Relief Efforts

MAY 29, 2020  Cincinnati, OH Michael Williams, a popular local performer from “Team Nick Jonas” on The Voice, Season 18 is hosting a “Summer Kickoff” on Instagram Live Friday, May 29, from 7 PM–9 PM.  The event, benefiting Matthew 25: Ministries, will help raise awareness of the importance of social distancing and wearing a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic, and include performances by Michael and other special guests including Allegra Miles and Thunderstorm Artis from The Voice.

Michael’s performances in a variety of local and regional theatre and entertainment venues helped prepare him for his success as one of the rising stars of Nick Jonas’ inaugural team on The Voice.

“The Voice was an amazing experience that gave me the chance to work with some very talented and unique artists and to grow in my craft,” said Michael.  “I am looking forward to using that experience and those skills to create a fun and meaningful event that can hopefully help a lot of people stay safe during this time. Along with that, I am excited to grow my following around Cincinnati and what better way than partnering with Matthew 25: Ministries with this Summer Kickoff on Instagram Live!”

As part of the first season of The Voice to be conducted remotely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael is very aware of the impact the virus can have on daily life, and of the importance of continuing to maintain social distancing and wear a mask as many states begin the slow process of reopening.

“Doing The Voice from home definitely made me more aware of the COVID-19 crisis and helped me to take the situation seriously in how I thought and spoke about COVID-19 awareness,” said Michael.  “We were supposed to be in LA with the coaches the entire time but because of COVID-19, we had to switch partway through and do the remainder of the coaching and the shows remotely from our homes. It was important for us all to stay home in order to help keep our families and our communities safe. And now, as states begin reopening, it’s more important than ever that we all keep doing our part in helping slow the spread of the coronavirus.”

Michael knows that everyone has been impacted by COVID-19, and is looking forward to giving his followers and fans a chance to hear from some of his special guests about their COVID-19 activities and plans, as well as hear some great music. Michael wants to encourage his followers and fans to continue doing their part and caring for each other by practicing these important safety and hygiene guidelines.
