MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES CONTINUES RESPONSE TO UKRAINE CRISIS

Matthew 25 Provides Relief Products and Additional Support to Ukrainians

MAY 3, 2022  Blue Ash, OH Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization in Cincinnati, OH, is continuing their response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Over 5 million Ukrainians have fled the country since the start of the invasion. More than 7.7 million people have been displaced within Ukraine and these numbers continue to rise.

Due to the severity and extent of this crisis, Matthew 25 has implemented a multi-faceted, long-term response plan that expands on their core mission of shipping aid into affected areas.  In addition to shipping supplies, Matthew 25 is providing support for the delivery of internally-sourced supplies and for relief programs including feeding, shelter, medical care, essential supplies, transportation assistance and educational services for Ukrainians in need or fleeing conflict.  Matthew 25 is helping approximately 1 million refugees, orphans, and internally displaced citizens in need, in more than 20 cities throughout Ukraine, as well as nearby countries, including Moldova, Romania, Poland, and Slovakia.

Matthew 25 is shipping more than 300,000 pounds of humanitarian aid and conflict relief to long-term partners supporting Ukraine and surrounding areas. These shipments include items such as personal care supplies, paper products, clothing, first-aid supplies, baby items and more. Matthew 25 also had supplies on the ground prior to the invasion that partners were able to access and distribute immediately to meet the most urgent needs. These supplies have a huge impact on those who have been affected by this crisis. In the words of a distribution partner, “Donated clothing, shoes, personal care items, toys, and cleaning supplies mean a lot for Ukrainian refugees. It gives them hope that they are not forgotten and are loved. Kindness always wins!” Matthew 25 will continue providing this essential support to the impacted region long-term.
