Matthew 25, in Partnership with Procter & Gamble, Deploys Disaster Response Team
to Provide Aid and Relief Services to Louisiana Residents

SEPTEMBER 1, 2021  Cincinnati, OH Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization in Cincinnati, OH, in partnership with Procter & Gamble, is deploying their Disaster Response Team to areas impacted by Hurricane Ida, one of the strongest storms to ever make landfall in Louisiana. The team will distribute products, provide relief services and meet with partners throughout the area to discuss ongoing needs. Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries is shipping three semi-truckloads of Hurricane Ida relief this week, with more loads scheduled in the coming weeks.

Matthew 25: Ministries will be deploying their Disaster Response Team at 9:00 AM on Thursday morning, September 2, 2021 to the disaster area. The team will utilize a selection of their Disaster Response fleet, including customized pickup trucks and panel trucks loaded with relief supplies such as P&G personal care kits; household and cleaning products including Pampers diapers, Charmin toilet paper, and Tide Pods; Cintas first aid and safety kits and supplies; and additional items such as tarps, generators, bottled water, and more. The team will distribute these supplies directly into affected communities. The team will also be deploying the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Units, providing free laundry services to households where lives have been impacted by this major disaster.

Matthew 25: Ministries will also deploy Duracell’s PowerForward truck, equipped with device charging stations and loaded with batteries to help provide community members with the resources they need to power essential devices. Millions of people remain without power as a result of Hurricane Ida, and officials expect outages to last for weeks.

Matthew 25: Ministries has established COVID-19 safety protocols and processes that help keep both the team and beneficiaries at distribution and Tide Loads of Hope activation sites protected. The team will adhere to all local health agency COVID-19 guidelines.

Due to the severity of the disaster, Matthew 25 is launching a long-term response to Hurricane Ida.  Matthew 25 will continue shipping truckloads of aid to partners and will continue to collect disaster items for restocking and resupplying.  For a list of suggested supplies, please visit their Hurricane Ida webpage at https://m25m.org/disaster/hurricaneida21.
