In Partnership with Procter & Gamble, Matthew 25 is Deploying Their Disaster Response Team to Provide Essential Services and Supplies to Impacted Areas
MAY 22, 2024 Blue Ash, OH – Matthew 25: Ministries, a humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization headquartered in Blue Ash, OH is responding to severe storms and tornadoes that moved across parts of the Midwest on Tuesday, May 21. A round of severe weather has been sweeping across the Great Plains and the Midwest since Monday. Millions of people were under the threat of tornadoes Tuesday, with more than 100 severe storms with hail and high winds reported from Colorado to Michigan. On Tuesday evening, multiple tornadoes were reported throughout Iowa, with a particularly destructive storm ripping through the town of Greenfield, tearing apart homes and businesses, uprooting trees, crushing cars, downing powerlines and leaving behind mounds of debris. The tornadoes caused multiple injuries and several fatalities. Severe weather is expected to continue through the Holiday weekend across the Great Plains and Midwest.
In Partnership with Procter & Gamble, Matthew 25: Ministries is deploying their Disaster Response Team along with the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry unit and a selection of Matthew 25’s disaster response fleet. The team will be providing laundry services, and will distribute essential supplies including P&G personal care kits, Pampers diapers, paper products, Zevo insect repellant and additional supplies including garbage bags, cleaning supplies, water, tools, tarps and first aid and safety supplies provided by Cintas. Additionally, Matthew 25 is deploying the Duracell PowerForward truck, equipped to carry as many as 20,000 Duracell batteries as well as on-board charging stations for mobile devices.
While there, Matthew 25 will conduct damage assessments and continue communicating with partners in the area to evaluate how they can best serve the ongoing needs of the disaster region.
Matthew 25 is requesting monetary and product donations to supplement existing supplies and for restocking during their response to this and future disasters.

Matthew 25 responds to disasters domestically and internationally and provides both rapid response and long-term support. In 2024, Matthew 25 has responded to severe weather and tornadoes that swept through portions of the Southeast in early January, tornadoes that struck middle Ohio in February, the Midwest tornadoes in March, the Great Plains tornadoes in April and the Texas Wildfires as well as the Helena, AR water crisis. Matthew 25 is also continuing response for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, which has recently passed the two year mark. Matthew 25: Ministries shipped over 33 million pounds of supplies in 2023, including over 12 million pounds of disaster relief, and helped more than 40 million people.
