AUGUST 23, 2021  Cincinnati, OH Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization in Cincinnati, OH, is responding to severe flooding in Tennessee. At least 22 people are confirmed dead while about 20 others remain missing after powerful floods swept through Humphreys County in Middle Tennessee on Saturday. Up to 17 inches of rain fell in Humphreys County in less than 24 hours, shattering the Tennessee record for one-day rainfall by more than 3 inches. Matthew 25: Ministries is also monitoring Tropical Storm Henri and is currently in communication with partners in the affected areas to evaluate how Matthew 25 can best serve the needs of the disaster region through product shipments and/or services.

Matthew 25: Ministries has established COVID-19 safety protocols and processes that help keep both the team and beneficiaries at distribution and Tide Loads of Hope activation sites protected, while still providing supplies and free laundry services to households where lives have been impacted by major disasters. Safety precautions for the deployment include social distancing on-site, increased use of PPE, increased sanitation practices, signage instructions and non-contact registration. In addition, the team will adhere to all local health agency COVID-19 guidelines.
