CBC’s ‘People to Know in Non-Profits’ 2015
We are excited that Matthew 25: Ministries CEO Tim Mettey has been selected as one of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 20 People to Know in Non-Profits. Tim learned to value and lead a lifestyle of service from an early age. As the son of Rev. Wendell Mettey, President and Founder of Matthew 25: Ministries, he had frequent opportunities to travel to Nicaragua, immersing himself in the culture and the environment to aid the less fortunate. Tim began working at Matthew 25: Ministries in 2003. He advanced through various roles within the organization to his current position of CEO. As CEO of Matthew 25, Tim manages the day-to-day operations of the award-winning nonprofit. Tim also developed and spearheads many of Matthew 25: Ministries’ mission programs including Medical, Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Missions; the Grow Right Micronutrient Supplement Program; several in-house manufacturing programs; and more.
In addition to his work with Matthew 25, Tim is a top-ranked teen and young adult author. Tim struggles with and has overcome multiple learning disabilities with reading and writing to create his series, The Hero Chronicles. Tim advocates for literacy and education worldwide and hopes his journey can be an inspiration to others. He says, “Our disabilities do not define who we are, they make us stronger.”
