Global Village
An Essential Part of the Volunteer Experience
Part of the volunteer experience at Matthew 25: Ministries includes a tour of our Global Village—a life-size, three dimensional recreation of disaster scenes along with examples of poverty in the U.S. and in developing countries.
Visitors of Matthew 25 can tour this interactive display, gaining a greater understanding of poverty and the need for help around the world including examples of impoverished living conditions with a specific focus on American Indian reservations, Appalachia, and a developing country garbage dump. Volunteers can also view recreations of the devastating effects of natural disasters—floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and other disasters to which Matthew 25: Ministries has responded.
Following the Global Village tour, guests have the opportunity to volunteer in Matthew 25: Ministries’ Processing Center, thus completing their experience by tangibly helping those in need.
