TENNESSEE FLOODING 2021

Matthew 25: Ministries responded to severe flooding in Tennessee. At least 22 people were confirmed dead while others remained missing after powerful floods swept through Humphreys County in Middle Tennessee on Saturday, August 21. Up to 17 inches of rain fell in Humphreys County in less than 24 hours, shattering the Tennessee record for one-day rainfall by more than 3 inches. The flooding damaged infrastructure and schools, and completely destroyed homes and other facilities in Waverly.
On Tuesday, August 24, Matthew 25: Ministries, in partnership with P&G, deployed a selection of their Disaster Response Fleet, which included the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Unit, as well as customized panel and pickup trucks loaded with supplies such as P&G personal care kits; household and cleaning products including items such as Pampers diapers, Charmin toilet paper, and Tide Pods; Cintas first aid and safety kits and supplies; and additional items such as generators, fans and tarps. In total, The team completed nearly 400 loads of laundry and distributed approximately 150 personal care kits, 1,000 rolls of paper products, 1,500 detergent pods, 2,900 bottles of water, 70 first aid and safety kits, and more throughout areas impacted by the flooding.
