Matthew 25 to Provide Life-saving Rescue, as well as Relief and Recovery Services to Impacted Areas
OCTOBER 9, 2026 | Blue Ash, OH – Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization headquartered in Blue Ash, Ohio, is responding to Hurricane Isaias, a category 3 storm with 120 MPH winds currently aiming for the Gulf coast. Landfall is anticipated tonight along the northern Gulf coast from Alabama to the western Florida Panhandle. This is the first major Atlantic Basin hurricane since Hurricane Melissa swept through Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba and the Dominican Republic last October. The hurricane is expected to bring significant storm surge, rainfall, flooding and high winds and will then continue to inundate the Southeast with heavy rain and wind over the weekend as it moves inland.
“This is a dangerous storm, and we’re concerned for the families in its path, especially those still recovering from previous hurricanes,” said Matthew 25: Ministries CEO Tim Mettey. “Our teams are already in position to help. Our Search and Rescue division will provide life-saving help, and our relief teams are mobilized to provide essential supplies and services to people who need them. Right now, our focus is on saving lives and then meeting immediate needs. We’ll continue helping these communities long after the storm passes.”
Matthew 25’s Code 3 Search and Rescue Team is pre-positioned near the anticipated impact area and will assist with critical first response support, helping to extricate people who are lost, injured, or in imminent danger across hazardous or isolated locations.
