MISSOURI TORNADOES 2019

UPDATED MONDAY,  JUNE 10, 2019 10:05 AM EST

Matthew 25: Ministries responded to devastating tornadoes that struck Jefferson City, MO and the surrounding area in late May. At least 20 injuries and 3 deaths have been reported as a result of the storms. The damage spanned approximately three square miles in and around Jefferson City. The storms on Wednesday struck on the eighth anniversary of a deadly tornado that killed 161 people in Joplin, MO in 2011.

Our Disaster Response Team deployed Friday, May 24 to provide relief supplies to Jefferson City and the surrounding areas. We also evaluated additional areas of need and met with partners in the area to discuss future shipments of aid. In total, the team distributed approximately 300 personal care kits, 800 rolls of paper towels, 1,400 rolls of toilet paper as well as diapers, dish soap, safety kits, batteries, bug repellent, and more supplies to help with recovery.

Matthew 25: Ministries accepts cash, credit card, and online donations for ongoing disaster aid and humanitarian relief programs.
