UKRAINE AID SHIPMENTS 2022
UPDATED MONDAY MAY 2, 2022 4:39 PM EST
Matthew 25: Ministries is continuing to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine that has been escalating since the invasion began in February. More than 10 million people have been displaced from their homes, and basic necessities are difficult to acquire throughout the affected region.
Matthew 25 is shipping more than 300,000 pounds of personal care supplies, first aid supplies, paper products, clothing, and other aid to assist people who have been impacted by this crisis. In addition to shipping supplies, Matthew 25 is providing support for the delivery of internally-sourced supplies and for relief programs including feeding, shelter, medical care, essential supplies, transportation assistance and educational services for Ukrainians in need or fleeing conflict. Matthew 25 is helping approximately 1 million refugees, orphans, and internally displaced citizens in need.
Matthew 25 has been working with partners for several years to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine and other areas within the Commonwealth of Independent States, and we had supplies on the ground before the invasion that were ready for immediate distribution. This is a long-term response and we will continue helping those affected for a long time to come.
Matthew 25 is requesting donations of the following types of items to supplement existing supplies, for restocking during their response and for future disasters:
