June 3, 2026 Blue Ash, OH – Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, announces a significant expansion of its disaster response fleet through an ongoing collaboration with Walmart and Procter & Gamble. This expansion will greatly enhance the organization’s ability to respond more quickly, efficiently, and effectively to disasters across the United States, especially in underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
The vision for this program expansion is to develop an agile, multi-capable fleet of disaster response service vehicles, including seven combined shower and laundry trailers and two restroom-only units, and to preposition these vehicles in strategic locations across the U.S., with the goal of being within an eight-hour drive of 90% of the mainland U.S. population.
Building on Matthew 25’s core competencies, successful disaster response model, and on the synergy between the collaborating brands, this new fleet of smaller, multi-capable vehicles will have the mobility to respond in a more timely manner to disasters of all sizes, or disasters in remote locations that may not have the capacity to support a larger fleet of vehicles. This expansion increases overall capacity by allowing for more deployments, as well as increased efficiencies as a result of combining laundry and shower services into one combined trailer, reaching more communities in need.
“Every time we respond to a disaster, we see firsthand how critical immediate access to basic necessities can be,” said Tim Mettey, CEO of Matthew 25: Ministries. “This expansion, made possible through our valued relationships with Walmart and Procter & Gamble, allows us to reach more communities more quickly, with the essential services they need to begin recovery. Together, we are strengthening our ability to bring hope and help when it matters most.”
Matthew 25: Ministries remains deeply grateful for the continued support of partners like Walmart and Procter & Gamble, whose shared commitment to helping communities in crisis makes this expansion possible. The expanded fleet is expected to be fully operational by June 2027, further strengthening the national disaster response network and ensuring more communities receive timely and compassionate care.
Matthew 25 responds to disasters both domestically and internationally, providing rapid response assistance as well as long term support to communities in need. This year, the organization has responded to the Mississippi Tornadoes, Southwest Michigan tornadoes, flooding in Millville and Okeana, OH and the January severe weather system that impacted several regions across the United States. In 2025, Matthew 25: Ministries shipped more than 23 million pounds of supplies, including over 3.5 million pounds designated for disaster relief, helping more than 32 million people worldwide. Matthew 25 provided aid in response to multiple tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and severe storms, while continuing its humanitarian response to the crisis in Ukraine, now in its fifth year of conflict.
