MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES IS CARING FOR COMMUNITIES
AND KEEPING HEALTHCARE WORKERS SAFE

Matthew 25 Has Distributed Over 650,000 Pounds of Supplies to Organizations Caring for Those At-Risk

APRIL 24, 2020  Cincinnati, OH Matthew 25: Ministries is caring for those who care for others – hospitals, first responders, police and fire departments, nursing homes, schools, and other organizations who are serving high-risk groups, including the sick, the elderly, and the impoverished. Since beginning COVID-19 operations on March 16, Matthew 25 has distributed over 650,000 pounds of aid to more than 500 of these brave and dedicated organizations throughout Greater Cincinnati and the US.

Matthew 25 is distributing desperately-needed supplies such as PPE, personal care, and cleaning items to those who are working on the front lines, risking their lives and sacrificing to help others in need.  Many of these organizations are critically short on the supplies they need to care for their patients and protect their staff.  Thank yous continue to pour in from recipients:

“Our law enforcement officers are on the front lines… we are all very concerned about the lack of a sustainable supply of basic personal protective equipment. Matthew 25: Ministries generously donated supplies.”

“Direct Support Professionals are often a forgotten group of Health Care Workers. Add in the part about being exposed to all kinds of fluids. Your organization gave us supplies we desperately needed to continue providing services and do it in safe manner.”

“The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a strain on EMS resources throughout the region, and your generous donation will allow us to continue providing superior EMS care to our residents while protecting the health of our firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs.”

“I can’t begin to tell you how grateful everyone was for the hand sanitizer, the masks and the wipes. They had resorted to using aerosolized sanitizer on people’s hands as they enter any part of the hospital or clinics!”

Matthew 25 is purchasing face masks to augment the donated medical, hygiene and cleaning supplies that pour into our facility from generous corporate in-kind product donors.  Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries has implemented a mobile feeding program, serving meals to staff at local hospitals, including extras for the night shift staff. To date, Matthew 25 has delivered approximately 7,000 Arby’s sandwiches provided by Brandicorp to hospitals around the Tri-State.  Matthew 25 is also making face shields out of mostly donated materials to protect our healthcare workers – more than 5,000 face shields to date.  Matthew 25 will continue working with our local, state and national partners in the coming weeks and caring for our community of caregivers as they continue to care for those in need.

In addition to our dedicated COVID-19 relief efforts, Matthew 25: Ministries continues our core mission of helping people in need by shipping humanitarian aid to partners worldwide.  Matthew 25 is also responding to the recent tornadoes that tore through areas of the south and eastern United States.  This week we began shipping truckloads of aid, including personal care items, cleaning supplies, paper products, baby supplies and more. We are also providing essential PPE to allow our partners to safely distribute aid to those working to recover from these storms.
