Updates Regarding COVID-19

UPDATED THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2020 1:35 PM EST

Matthew 25: Ministries is continuing to monitor officials’ reports regarding the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The health of our staff, volunteers, donors, and the people we help is our top priority. We are so thankful for everyone who supports our work!

WE ARE RESPONDING

Matthew 25: Ministries is responding to COVID-19. We are distributing desperately-needed emergency supplies to first responders, police and fire departments, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other organizations that serve high-risk groups, including the sick, the elderly, and the impoverished.

As part of our initial response, we are distributing more than 60,000 pounds of supplies to almost 200 organizations. Supplies include approximately 20,000 N95 and surgical masks, 155,000 gloves, 25,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, 11,000 packages of wipes, 8,500 rolls of paper products, 900 personal care kits, 1,000 sanitizing kits, 23,000 batteries, plus additional assorted medical and personal care items.

CHANGE IN VOLUNTEER HOURS

On Thursday, March 12, Governor Mike DeWine issued an order restricting large gatherings, in an effort to best protect public health. Matthew 25: Ministries welcomes many volunteers each day, including large groups. Therefore, in order to remain compliant with this order and best protect the health of our staff and volunteers, Matthew 25: Ministries has suspended volunteer hours at our facility until further notice.

Governor DeWine issued a stay-at-home order that began at 11:59 PM on Monday, March 23. Under this current order, we are still accepting donations of essential medical supplies to distribute to our partner organizations during the business hours of 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
