MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES SHIPS 250,000,000TH POUND OF AID

Two-hundred Fifty Million Pounds of Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Delivered to Those in Need Since 1991

APRIL 22, 2021  Cincinnati, OH Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization located at 11060 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash, OH, shipped their 250,000,000th pound of aid on Wednesday, April 21st. This achievement comes during a season filled with milestones – in 2020, Matthew 25 shipped their 12,000th truckload of aid and surpassed $2.5 billion dollars’ worth of product shipped since 1991.

Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a trip Founder Reverend Wendell Mettey made with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua in 1990. Moved by the extreme poverty conditions he saw, Reverend Mettey vowed to help the people of Nicaragua and others in similar need. Upon his return, Reverend Mettey began collecting products which were deemed no longer useful by U.S. corporations and distributing these supplies to those in need. Since 1991, Matthew 25’s distribution activities have expanded to include partners in Greater Cincinnati, as well as partners throughout the United States and around the world. The 250,000,000 pounds of clothing, medical supplies, personal care items, school supplies, food, household items, cleaning products, reblended paint and micro-enterprise supplies shipped by Matthew 25 have been distributed in approximately 70 countries worldwide and helped hundreds of millions of people.

Matthew 25: Ministries’ CEO, Tim Mettey says, “We are excited to be celebrating this incredible milestone of shipping our 250,000,000th pound of aid. As a result of these shipments of supplies, we have helped people in need here in our own community, throughout the U.S., and around the world. I’m so very thankful for all of the people and organizations who have come alongside us throughout the years to make this work possible.”
