Matthew 25: Ministries responded to the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl. The hurricane struck the Caribbean on July 1, making landfall on Carriacou, an island near Grenada, with wind speeds exceeding 160 mph. The storm continued to the U.S. coast, hitting near Matagorda, Texas, as a Category 1 storm and brought life-threatening storm surge of over 5 feet in some areas, heavy rainfall of up to 15 inches along the southern U.S. coast, and strong inland winds, followed by a tornado outbreak across northeastern Texas and western Louisiana. The disaster resulted in fatalities, catastrophic infrastructure damage, and widespread power outages, leaving millions without electricity at the storm’s peak.

Matthew 25: Ministries shipped essential supplies to partners throughout various disaster regions, including Texas, as well as international locations such as Jamaica, Grenada, and St. Vincent. The shipments include Pampers diapers and wipes, paper products, personal care products, Zevo insect repellant, as well as garbage bags, cleaning supplies, and tarps. Matthew 25 shipped over 160,000 pounds of aid to those impacted by the storm.
