On Wednesday, April 2, a powerful storm system began its long and destructive trek across large portions of the United States. This marked the start of several consecutive days of intense and widespread severe weather, including multiple destructive tornadoes, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall across parts of the South and Midwest. The torrential rain triggered historic flooding in many communities, including Ohio and Kentucky, overwhelming rivers and drainage systems, inundating homes, submerging roadways and limiting access to essential resources.

In partnership with Procter & Gamble, Matthew 25: Ministries responded to provide much-needed assistance and a sense of hope to those affected by the flooding. Our Disaster Response Teams deployed with the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry Unit and a selection of Matthew 25’s disaster response fleet. The teams provided free laundry services and distributed essential supplies to impacted communities, offering support and helping restore a sense of normalcy in this time of uncertainty.

Donors who would like to designate their financial gifts for the 2025 Midwest and South Flooding may do so by writing “2025 Midwest and South Flooding” in the memo line of their check or by typing it in the “Additional Information” field of the online giving form.
