VIRGINIA FLOODING 2022

UPDATED TUESDAY AUGUST 3, 2022 8:45 PM EST

Matthew 25: Ministries responded to the severe flash flooding that occurred in Buchanan County, VA overnight on Tuesday, July 12 into Wednesday, July 13. The powerful water forced homes off their foundations and washed out roads and bridges. More than 100 homes were damaged or destroyed.

In partnership with P&G, Matthew 25: Ministries’ Disaster Response Team departed for Virginia to provide supplies and services to those affected by the flooding. The team provided laundry services through the Tide Loads of Hope program and also distributed relief supplies throughout impacted communities in the Grundy, VA area. Matthew 25’s team will also continue to connect with partners to assess the ongoing needs of these communities.
