CENTRAL TEXAS FLOODING 2025

UPDATED MONDAY, JULY 14, 2025 8:26 PM EST

Matthew 25: Ministries is responding to help communities devastated by catastrophic flash flooding across parts of Central Texas. Several inches of rain fell over a short period of time, marking one of the region’s most intense downpours in decades. River levels surged dramatically, sweeping away vehicles, homes, and campers in the floodwaters. Over 120 fatalities have been reported, while several individuals remain unaccounted for. Rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing but are being challenged by damaged infrastructure, challenging terrain, heavy debris, and additional rainfall.

Matthew 25, in partnership with Procter & Gamble and Walmart, has deployed our Disaster Response Team, including the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry Unit and mobile shower and restroom trailer. The team will also distribute essential relief supplies to the affected communities, including: personal care products, baby supplies, paper products and first aid & safety kits provided by Cintas, and more. Matthew 25 is in active communication with local partners to assess urgent and ongoing needs.

Additionally, Matthew 25 is supporting search and rescue crews and first responders in Kerr County through the provision of critical supplies, food, and laundry services. These efforts aim to help sustain emergency personnel as they continue working under extremely challenging conditions.
